Hokkaido Cupcake |
How I know about Hokkaido Cupcake ? Answer = Ezivoucher , this website show lots of online vouchers about food which is discount . One day , I saw the MS Cake House selling Hokkaido Cupcake at only rm9 for 6 in a box , so I decided to buy it and taste it before I do my own cupcake .Then , I go to Demeters to buy my ingredients , but the choices of cupcake box not much , not like the online cupcake box that I want ( polka dots ) . Then wheres the recipe I took from , is ' Nasi Lemak Lover ' plus the one Sunshine Trading recipe . This is a good idea as a gift to friends and relatives .
Ingredients :
A : Rose flour 80g
Salt 1/2 tsp
Baking powder 1/2 tsp
B : Egg yolk 4 Nos ( 75g )
Milk 35g
Corn oil 40g
Icing sugar 15g
Vanilla Prima 1 tsp
C : Egg white 4 Nos ( 150g )
Cream of tartar 1/2 tsp
Castor sugar 70g
Filling : Instant custard 30g
Cold milk 100 - 120g
Dairy cream ( whipped ) 40g
Method :
1. Pre - heat oven to 170'c around 15 minutes .
2. Shift rose flour , baking powder and salt together .
3. Hand whisk egg yolk until pale , combine milk then follow by corn oil . After that , add in icing sugar and vanilla Prima .
4. Shift in flour then stir to combine .
5. Whisk egg white until slightly foamy , add in cream of tartar and castor sugar and whisk at high speed till soft peak form .
6. Fold whisked egg white foam into egg yolk batter in three portions . Do not over mix .
7. Fill cake cup till 70% full and bake in preheated oven at 170 'c for 15 - 20 minutes .
After bake |
8. Pipe custard cream into cupcake and dust with snow powder .
9. Keep cake chill before serve .
Prepare Filling :
1. Mix instant custard with cold milk and beat until smooth . Whip dairy cream until fluffy and fold into custard mixture .
